We envision a haven where vulnerable individuals could find refuge, healing, empowerment & hope for a brighter future. What We Do

Impact Story – Urooj’s Journey Home

A Light in the Darkness – Urooj’s Journey Home

Thirteen-year-old Urooj Fatima was a lost and frightened girl, her thoughts foggy—she had no recollection of her house address nor the phone number of her parents.

Each road was familiar yet unknown and terror seized her heart.

Hope was not lost, however. The Punjab Police and Tahafuz Manzil Foster Home team intervened, determined to bring her back to her family. They took her on video calls through each house in the neighborhood, holding her hand patiently until her eyes lit up and she recognized one of them. “That’s it! That’s my home” she cried.

Tears of happiness streamed as Urooj was welcomed back by her family. A guest of Tahafuz Manzil Foster Home Lahore—a project by Punjab Police—Urooj’s tale became a story of resilience and kindness.

The message of the Tahafuz Manzil team is true: “When a child returns to their family, faith is restored. Darkness never endures—happiness always returns.”

Because no lost child remains lost forever.

Every lost soul deserves protection, love, and a way back home. This is the story of Isha—a young woman from Faisalabad who, in a moment of distress, left her family and found herself alone in Lahore.

Found by the compassionate team at Punjab Police Khidmat Markaz (Data Darbar), she was brought to Tahafuz Manzil Foster Home—a safe haven for the vulnerable. Here, she wasn’t just given shelter; she was given hope.

The Tahafuz Manzil team reached out to her family, bridging the gap with care and counseling. Through patience and understanding, wounds were healed, and Isha was reunited with her loved ones. In a heartfelt ceremony, her family was honored, proving that no conflict is beyond resolution when met with empathy.
